Shibboleth Mailing Lists
There are three central mailing lists for Shibboleth support. Of these, shibboleth-users may be useful during installation and configuration, but it is high volume. shibboleth-announce will carry notices of updates and security patches and should be subscribed to by administrators. To join shibboleth-announce, follow these instructions:
- Send an e-mail to the address: sympa@internet2.edu
- With the message in the subject OR in the body of the mail
sub shibboleth-announce firstname lastname
i.e (sub shibboleth-announce Chris Jones)

Individual federations may well also run mailing lists. In addition, in the UK context, it is sensible to join one of the JISC Shibboleth lists; again, the main jisc-shibboleth list is likely to be too high volume, and so it is better to join the jisc-shibboleth-announce list. In particular, announcements related to the Athens-Shibboleth gateway will appear on this list. It can be joined via the JISCMail interface , and this is also where the archives can be found.
