Installing Shibboleth based on existing installation

This documentation is intended to help an administrator to re-install the Shibboleth Identity Provider based on an existing, working test installation - an activity which will probably accompany moving it from a test to a production level service. It is assumed that the administrator has been introduced to the architecture of Shibboleth.

• Check and configure software dependencies
• The actual installation of the software is described in Section J of the official installation documentation .
• Configure Shibboleth IdP
• Set up metadata refreshing
• Mailing lists

The process takes approximately 5 hours, with 1.5 hours spent installing the software dependencies from scratch. Additional time will be needed for the metadata configuration (as this needs to be shared with trusted parties).
