Project Director:
Jean Sykes is the Librarian and Director of Information Services at LSE, and will act as the senior institutional champion for PERSEUS. Jean was chair of the active M25 Consortium of HE Libraries for two years, and was also chair of SCONUL (Society of College, National and University Libraries) for two years. Jean is director of the prestigious international social science bibliography, IBSS Online, and has directed a number of successful eLib projects, notably Lamda and M25 Link. Jean is an active member of RUGIT (Russell Group of IT Directors), and sits on the Board of the London Metropolitan Network (LMN). Jean is chair of the JISC CSR2 Digitisation Programme, sits on the Steering Committee of the JISC Legal Information Service, and is a member of the JISC Content Services Committee (JCSC).

John Paschoud is an Information Systems Engineer and Projects Manager in the LSE Library. He is the Project Manager for PERSEUS project. John has also been managing the JISC-funded SECURe project, the PERSEUS predecessor project. He also managed the ANGEL Project, involving a consortium led by LSE in partnership with four other universities and the EDINA Data Service. Previously he has managed and undertaken a technical design role in the JISC eLib Programme HeadLine Project, which developed concepts of personal information environments and structured metadata that have contributed to the development of the JISC Information Environment, and he was also responsible for UK participation in the two successful European Decomate projects, from which the software products are now being commercially marketed as the OCLC iPort system. He has been an IT professional for almost 30 years (including 13 years working in Higher Education), holds a Master's degree in Information Systems Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the British Computer Society.

Peter Spring is the temporary Project & Dissemination Officer for the PERSEUS project, covering maternity leave. He is responsible for the project's dissemination, leading user consultation and user evaluation of work packages within the project. He is a librarian who has worked in electronic publishing for 15 years as a project manager and e-product designer. Peter holds a Master's degree in Systems Analysis and is a Fellow of CILIP.
Masha Garibyan is the Project & Dissemination Officer for the PERSEUS project, currently on maternity leave until September 2006. She specialises in information literacy training and e-learning and has previously worked as a learning technologist. Masha holds a Master's degree in Information Management and is a member of CILIP.

Simon McLeish is the Senior Programmer for the PERSEUS project. This is the latest in a series of projects for which he has designed and developed software, including Angel, Deliver, SECURe, HeadLine and Decomate II. He created the UKeduPerson schema, and has designed metadata descriptions for electronic resources and human beings. He has previously worked on eLib projects at the LSE and the University of Ulster, and for a commercial Internet Service Provider. He has a doctorate in Mathematical Logic. He is also an Associate Lecturer with the Open University and a Member of the British Computer Society.
